1979 Ford bronco
Overview:
You always remember your first… This Bronco arrived at Well Sorted for our first ever Godzilla swap. These were the early days of the Godzilla conversions with very few parts on the market and many challenges we had to figure out along the way. A crate engine from Ford Performance was the foundation of the build backed up by the 6R80 automatic transmission with a modified adapter to retain the factory NP205 transfer case. An OBR engine controller managed the Godzilla with a US Shift Quick6 handling the shifting duties. Vintage Air AC and Dakota Digital gauges were added for comfort and convenience on those longer road trips. Along the way the scope of the build expanded to include a full repaint, chassis restoration, and axle rebuilds. The family who owns and enjoys this truck has put many miles on it in the desert southwest using it fully as a family camping rig, road trip truck, and all around cruiser.
